Bellingham Cold Storage (BCS) is located on the Bellingham Bay and was founded in 1946. We are the largest portside cold storage on the West Coast, serving the global market with interstate, rail, air and deep water dock access. Currently, BCS is looking for the right candidate to fill this open position. Laborers at Bellingham Cold Storage may perform any of the following
essential functions:

  • Load and unload trucks, ships, railcars and containers by hand
  • Assist other departments when necessary which may include general clean up
  • Be trained to operate equipment (i.e.,pallet jack or forklift)
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Perform regular labor functions
  • Throw cases

This job involves lengthy periods of standing, walking and working in a very cold environment (temperatures ranging from 32°F to -20°F), lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis, and walking on uneven cement floors. Work will be performed at both the Roeder Street and Orchard Drive warehouses on day, swing, and graveyard shifts.

Punctual, regular attendance is required.
